Congratulations to Nate Spears, Hadlock Headlines 2010 Portland Sea Dogs Player of the Year.
Nate's 2010 campaign showed he absolutely belongs in the Red Sox system. His consistency both in the field and at the plate gave his team a better chance to win night in, night out. Nate scored his 100th and 101st runs on Sunday, making him the 3rd player in Portland Sea Dogs history to score over 100 runs.
It has been a privilege to cover Nate the entire season, treating us and everyone at the park with the utmost respect. Here is to hoping Nate gets a shot at the next level, his performance this season sure warrants it.
