The Portland Sea Dogs got off to a slow start Saturday, and never recovered. The Reading Phillies powered their way to a 13-5 victory.

Boston Red Sox top prospect Stolmy Pimentel got his 1st start at the AA level Saturday. He struggled to find control, giving up a HR to the second batter of the day for the Phillies. Pimentel fought back and returned for 2 more innings, finishing with a line of 3 IP, 6H 5R 5ER 3BB 1K.

The Sea Dogs relief efforts proved more of the same as they gave up 8 more runs. On the day, Sea Dogs pitchers gave up 8 doubles and 3 HRs in the 13-5 rout.

Sox prospect Oscar Tejada got his bat going by getting his 1st AA hit and RBI all at once. With catcher Tim Federowicz on second, Tejada doubled in the right field gap scoring Federowicz.

Will Middlebrooks had a great day at the plate, going 4-4 with a HR and 2 doubles and 3 RBI.

The Sea Dogs finish off the Phillies series with a 1PM game today at Hadlock. Steven Fife goes for the Sea Dogs.
