Ryan Kalish, who has been red-hot for the Sea Dogs as of late, is on his way to Pawtucket. Kalish will be taking his .293 avg, 8 homers and 29 RBI's with him, where he will be reunited with former 2010 Sea Dogs Felix Doubront and Lars Anderson. Ryan Khoury will be taking his spot on the roster.

The Boston Red Sox have promoted Portland Sea Dogs’ outfielder Ryan Kalish to Triple-A Pawtucket. Infielder Ryan Khoury will join the Sea Dogs from Triple-A Pawtucket. Additionally, right-handed pitcher Jeremy Kehrt has been added to the Sea Dogs roster from Single-A Salem. Kehrt will start tonight for the Sea Dogs at 7:05 PM against the Trenton Thunder at Waterfront Park in Trenton, New Jersey. The Sea Dogs roster is now at the 24 man maximum.
The 22 year old, Kalish, was hitting .293 in 41 games for the Sea Dogs and was leading Portland in runs scored (35), home runs (8), and stolen bases (13). He was also fourth in the Eastern League in both walks (28) and on-base percentage (.404) as well as fifth in the league in stolen bases. On May 29th, Kalish became the ninth player in team history to collect five hits in a game. Kalish is rated as the #5 prospect in the Red Sox system according to Baseball America. He combined to hit .279 with 18 home runs & 77 RBI between Single-A Salem and the Sea Dogs last season to earn Red Sox Minor League Offensive Player of the Year honors. The New Jersey native was selected by the Red Sox in the ninth round of the 2006 First-Year Player Draft.
