FULL AUDIO FROM RED SOX POST DAY 1 DRAFT PRESS CONFERENCE

The Boston Red Sox have selected 3 players so far in the 2010 MLB Draft.

With the overall 20th pick, the Red Sox selected Ball State 2nd Baseman Kolbrin Vitek. Check out SoxProspects file on Vitek. Word around the net is the Sox have already asked Vitek to play 3rd base when he plays for the Lowell Spinners.

With the 36th Overall pick, the Sox took Middle Tennessee State OF Bryce Brentz. The word on Brentz is he is a hitter with a lot of power potential.

With the 39th pick, the Red Sox got the player some expected to be their 1st round pick, LSU RHP Anthony Ranaudo. Ranaudo was highly touted coming out of his junior year, but suffered a stress reaction in his throwing arm. Here is WEEI.com's assesment of Ranaudo.
