The lead would be short lived as Matt Cusik blasted a home run off Ryne Lawson in the ninth inning to tie the game and send the contest into extra innings.

Trenton would take a 6-5 lead in the 10th inning on a RBI single by Rivera off Daniel Turpen scoring Sublett.
